Tai chi is a practice that involves a series of slow gentle movements and physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. It originated as an ancient martial art in China but over the years it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation.  Tai Chi is a great way to improve your balance, flexibility, memory, and concentration.

Come out and give it a no-charge try during July and August, outside in the Sportsplex parking lot, 6th St. and 23rd Ave. NW.  Classes are held Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 till 10:00 a.m. except on statutory holidays (July 3 and August 7).   Everyone is welcome, regardless of age.  If there is enough interest, Tai chi classes will resume in September in the Upper Hall.

Start when you can; come as often as you can!  We ask that you register only so we know how many people to expect.  There is no need to print your ticket.

Tai chi is a healthful and social activity.  All you need is an MPCA membership to take part in this and the many other fun activities on offer (check out mpca.ca).  After you register for this, why not look at the free Member Pickleball & Badminton Drop-in that happens Monday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. till noon.
