During the teachers’ strike, our Sportsplex team is opening the rink early to help families stay active and connected. From  Monday, October 20 to Thursday, October 23, the rink will be open from  9:30 to 10:30 am, in addition to our regular Member Public Skate and Pucks & Rings sessions. It’s a small way to support our community, giving kids and families a fun, friendly space to enjoy some movement and togetherness. Skates and Helmets are Mandatory while on ice. No Sticks, Pucks or Rings. Tag or games are not permitted. Food and beverages are not permitted on the ice. Skaters under the age of 13, must have an adult skater with them. Mount Pleasant Sportsplex offers Members' Stick & Puck/Ring to members of the Mount Pleasant Community Association. Current membership is required for sign up. This is an all-ages activity. Members under the age of 13 must have a guardian in the arena with them. Check-in at the office is required prior to going on the ice. To minimize risk of injuries, all members under the age of 18 are required to wear FULL hockey equipment, and adults are required to wear a helmet, skates and gloves, plus long-sleeved jacket and pants. Body-checking, rough play, slap shots, pick up games, scrimmages, and formal coaching are prohibited.
