Mount Pleasant Sportsplex offers Public Skating to members of the Mount Pleasant Community Association. Skates and Helmets are Mandatory while on ice. No Sticks, Pucks or Rings. Tag or games are not permitted. Food and beverages are not permitted on the ice. Skaters under the age of 13, must have an adult skater with them. By signing up, members know the risks of injuries and will participate with caution and respect all others participating.

Join us for this meditative class where you will learn a basic technique for decorative wrapping of rocks and cedar with cotton thread/cord and wire. Embellishments may include moss, beads, buttons - there will be a variety of choices.  Your end products will be palm-sized sculptures that will be uniquely yours.  We can’t wait to see you there! Registration opens on Tuesday, August 11th at 10:00am. * There is a non-refundable ticket price of $10.00 for the class.  These classes are sponsored by MPCA and include all materials, tools, and guidance by an artisan leading the projects.  All skill levels are welcome, no experience needed. Join us for the annual Jump Into Fall event at the MPCA Hall!  There will be pizza, a beer garden, live music, a magician, face painting, games and more.  What better way to welcome fall!  Come meet your neighbours and have some fun! Pizza and a non-alcoholic drinks will be available by donation.  Alcoholic beverages will be at a cost of $5. ** Feel free to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the music!  If you're able to volunteer to help with this event, please visit Volunteer Signup to sign up.

Bring your love of your favourite colours and string a pattern of beads into a hanger that is uniquely you.  Does your personal style lead you to warm, cool or neutral tones?  Do you love high or low contrast in colours?  Everything goes in this class.  You do you!  The completed project can be used to hang a candle or display a small plant.  The simple yet elegant project also provides ample opportunity to visit with fellow participants.  It promises to be a fun class. Join the TUESDAY Fall Session of our fun and relaxed parent and child playgroup! Parents and caregivers of little ones aged 0 to 5 are welcome to be a part of our unstructured and child-led playgroup, running from 9:15 to 11:15 am in the Lower Hall of the Mount Pleasant Community Centre. It's a wonderful opportunity for children to explore, play, and make new friends while adults get to connect and share the joys and challenges of parenting. This playgroup is open to everyone! Not just Mount Pleasant residents.  Our group runs and thrives on volunteer efforts! Keyholders are especially important as they open and close the hall each week for the group - if we do not have enough volunteers for the keyholder position, we will have to cancel. We also have a shared snack duty. *Please note: We must register all participants, including infants and drop-ins as there is a building capacity.  Registration must be completed by the child's guardian, not a nanny or day home provider. A nanny can be added as the adult attending playgroup. You are required to have a Mount Pleasant Community Association (MPCA) membership before you buy a ticket for the Playgroup Event.
