Soccer Registration 2026
31-01-2026 08:00 – 30-04-2026 23:59
The Soccer Program in Mount Pleasant is recreational, and intended to help kids build a love of soccer, stay active, and have fun in the community!  Volunteer coaches from the community will introduce young players to soccer and focus on fun and player development. U3-U10 players will learn new skills appropriate for their ages, enjoy smaller sided games, play with their friends, and grow their love of the sport. U8 and U10 will also play small, fast paced games.  MPCA players in U11-18 will continue their skill development in teams and through organized games against other communities. Players will be supported by volunteers coaches.  Volunteer Requirement Each family* registered in MPCA soccer is required to either: 1) donate their time, or 2) provide a $100 monetary donation. If you wish to donate your time, please select a volunteer task in the following link and someone from the MPCA Board will be in touch with you. Volunteer options are available on a first come, first served basis: Sign up to be a volunteer here: Volunteer Signup 2026 *Hint: If you want to coach more than one team, please complete two sign ups.*  We strongly encourage you to consider volunteering as a coach. No soccer experience is necessary to coach. Two coaches will be required for each team this season (8-10  children per team). If there are not enough coaches, we will not be able to offer spots to all players registered. Training and support will be provided throughout the season for coaches. If you have any questions about coaching, please email soccer@mpca.ca.  If you wish to provide a monetary donation instead, please add your donation in your cart below as you check out.  In order to register your child/ren, you must select one of those two options or your registration will not be considered complete.  *Please note that if you wish to register more than one child, you only need to volunteer once. The volunteer requirement is per family, not per child.  Friend Request When registering, you can submit one friend request per registered player. We will do our best to accommodate.  Withdrawals Players who withdraw their registration by 31 March 2025 will receive a full refund. Players who withdraw their registration after that date will not be issued a refund. MPCA membership is non-refundable.  Cancellation Prior to 31 March 2026, a full refund will be issued if MPCA cancels the soccer season. If the season is required to be cancelled after that date, a refund may not be issued. MPCA membership is non-refundable.  U3  Ages:         Born 2023 Days:         Monday, April 20 - June 15 Times:       5:30 - 6:00pm  Location: Ecole Rose Sauvage field * Parent participation on the field is required. _______________________________________________________________________________________ U4  Ages:         Born 2022 or 2023 Days:         Monday, April 20 - June 15 Times:        5:30 - 6:00pm  Location: Ecole Rose Sauvage field * Parent participation on the field is required. _______________________________________________________________________________________ U6  Ages:        Born 2020 or 2021 Days:        Tuesday, April 21 - June 16 Times:       5:30 - 6:20pm Location: Ecole Rose Sauvage field * Parent participation is required. ______________________________________________________________________________________ U8  Ages:        Born 2018 or 2019 Days:        Monday (Soccer School) and Wednesday (Game), April 20 - June 17 Time:        6:30 - 7:30pm Location: Ecole Rose Sauvage field ______________________________________________________________________________________ U10  Ages:        Born 2016 or 2017 Days:        Tuesday (Soccer School) and Thursday (Game), April 21 - June 18 Time:        6:30 - 7:30pm Location: Ecole Rose Sauvage field ______________________________________________________________________________________ U11  At this age group, Mount Pleasant teams are part of the Inter Community House League (ICHL).  At this level ball skill and soccer instincts are further developed and games will be with played against neighboring communities in the NW. Crafternoon-A Spring Landscape with felted wool roving guided by Tracy Franks (a two-part class)
Mount Pleasant Community Association
06-05-2026 13:30 – 13-05-2026 15:30
Note: This is a two-part class.  Please REGISTER ONLY ONCE and commit to both dates to complete the project and the materials provided are not wasted.  Ticket price is $10 for both dates for this class. Our first class will be devoted to creating the background for the landscape. We will use the wet felting method, gently layering and manipulating wool fibres, dampening, rubbing  and agitating, repeating often to achieve a bonded surface that suggests the beginning  of a meadow, a forest glade, or rolling hills.  Our second class will involve needle felting over the (now dry) surface to indicate wild  flowers and butterflies or perhaps tree trunks, branches, birds and mushrooms. Your choice of image will evolve from the felted surface.  ⭐Please bring an old bath towel and a bag to carry it home wet. Thanks!  Registration opens on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00am. * There is a non-refundable ticket price of $10.00 for the class.  These classes are sponsored by MPCA and include all materials, tools, and guidance by an artisan leading the projects.  All skill levels are welcome, no experience needed. Classes are geared to ages 14 and up.  This is an amazing opportunity to gain insight into a new medium, and connect with new people. * Please be an MPCA member to register for classes.  You may purchase up to two tickets for the class. * If you can no longer attend a class for which you have registered, please let Aileen (contact information below) know as soon as possible.  This may allow someone on the waiting list to take your place, and avoid purchasing supplies that are not used. * If the class is sold out (full) when you attempt to register, please contact Aileen (contact information below) to be placed on the waiting list. * You do not need to print and bring a copy of the registration confirmation email you receive. * If you are the slightest bit uncomfortable completing the registration process online, please contact Aileen (contact information below) to sort it out. Parents and caregivers of little ones aged 0 to 5 are welcome to be a part of our unstructured and child-led playgroup, running from 9:15 to 11:15 am in the Lower Hall of the Mount Pleasant Community Centre. Not just Mount Pleasant residents.  Our group runs and thrives on volunteer efforts! Keyholders are especially important as they open and close the hall each week for the group - if we do not have enough volunteers for the keyholder position, we will have to cancel. We also have a shared snack duty. *Please note: We must register all participants, including infants and drop-ins as there is a building capacity.  Registration must be completed by the child's guardian, not a nanny or day home provider. A nanny can be added as the adult attending playgroup. You are required to have a Mount Pleasant Community Association (MPCA) membership before you buy a ticket for the Playgroup Event.
